Karen Faye Henderson, 65, of Owensboro passed away Saturday August 17, 2024, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care – Heartford House. The Daviess County native was born on October 13, 1958, to the late Vernon and Betty Henderson. She previously worked as a nurse for 11 years at Daviess County Hospital, as well as Glenn Funeral Home, and Hasgoe’s Cleaning where she cleaned MPD plant. For the remainder of her life, Karen was a caregiver; she loved helping others. Her only hobby was playing bingo, which she loved doing the most.
Left to cherish her memories is her sons, Nicky Ray Henderson and Dan Thomas Newton; brother, Vernon Darrell (Connie) Henderson; sisters, Barabara Kay Stites, Bonnie (Roger) Hardin, Cathy (T.J. Law) Henderson, and Donna (Mike) Mclevain; 11 grandchildren, Dylan, Leland, Nolan, Emma, Nicole, Austin, Halie (Jamin), Michael, Jay, Caleb, and Kaitlyn; one great grandchild, Damon NeSmith; and several nieces and nephews.
