Mallory Wayne Logsdon, 74, of Reynolds Station, passed away on September 26, 2024 at Owensboro Health. He was retired from the Owensboro Board of Education after 32 years of service and Hagan Saw Shop until Covid. He loved life and his friends. He loved fishing on the Green. He loved his “Baby Girl” and all the family. Wayne was a proud veteran, having worked on the USS Independence as a medic for 6 years.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Mallory in 2007 and Dorothy in 2006 and a brother, Ron in 2012.
He is survived by his one and only love, his wife Emma after 19 years of marriage and 46 years in love; Gayle (Danny) Stone of Philpot, KY, Rosemary (Kelly) Smith of Michigan, Randy Logsdon of Florissant Missouri, William Logsdon of Fordsville and Becky Logsdon of Owensboro; grandchildren, Nathan, Corina, Makayla and Trice, Jr., Mercedes(deceased); several nieces and nephews and his in-laws and outlaws.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY, with burial following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Elba, KY. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Monday September 30, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to the time of service at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY.
