Rita Marie Edge Brothers, 71, of Louisville passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. She was born in Whitesville, KY on September 23, 1953 to the late Paul and Anna Mae Edge. She was formerly employed at Catholic Ministries in Owensboro and a volunteer with Catholic Charities in Frankfort. Rita attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Frankfort.
In addition to her parents, Rita is preceded in death by her brothers, Joe, George, Hinkle, Jim, Eugene, Phillip and Neron Edge and her sister Martha Ann Hagan.
Rita is survived by her children, Ricter King, Jr. and Christina (Ricky) Heath; granddaughter, Gabby Heath; and sisters, Nadine (Gary) Trogden and Mary Hock.

A Funeral Mass will be said at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville, KY at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025, with burial following at St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with prayers at 5:30 p.m. and Monday, June 9, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville.
