Gary R. Boone, Sr., age 67, of Owensboro, went home to be with Jesus on June 23, 2025. He was born January 21, 1958 in Daviess County to the late Bennie and Carolyn Baird Boone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded into paradise by sisters, Carla Collins and Vickie Ward; and a brother, Dick Darrough.
Left to cherish Gary’s memory is the mother of his children, Kellie Boone; two sons, Gary Troutman and Gary R. Boone Jr., both of Owensboro; daughters, Heather Jewell and Melissa Horton, of Owensboro; grandchildren; sisters, Susan King (Alan) of Rockport, Indiana and Shannon Schueler (John) of Owensboro; brother, James Allen “J.B.” Boone of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family service to honor Gary’s life. James H. Davis Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care.
