The Dugan Best Neighborhood Alliance will host Gala Day this Saturday, featuring an inflatable water slide, prize giveaways, music, and more. Free food will be available while supplies last.
The free, family-friendly event will be held at Dugan Best Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet members of the Owensboro Police and Fire Departments and participate in health-focused activities from Owensboro Health. These include A1C checks, various health screenings, car seat safety checks, nicotine replacement therapy, smoking cessation resources, and hands-on CPR training.
The Owensboro Health HealthPark, event medicine, and prevention services teams will be on site, providing education and giveaways.
The event will also include information and resources from the Senior Community Center of Owensboro–Daviess County and RiverValley Behavioral Health.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the festivities. Sponsors include Owensboro Health, Meijer, and Morrison Healthcare.
