Someone who purchased a Powerball ticket in Owensboro is holding a $1 million winner, according to Kentucky Lottery officials.
The ticket was sold at Kroger, located at 1670 Starlite Drive, for Monday night’s drawing. It matched five white ball numbers — 33, 35, 58, 61, and 69 — but not the Powerball (25), earning the second-tier prize.
The winner has 180 days to claim the prize at Kentucky Lottery headquarters at 1011 West Main Street in Louisville. Officials recommend signing the back of the ticket and keeping it in a safe place until an appointment can be made by calling 1-877-789-4532.
No one hit the jackpot, which now sits at an estimated $216 million for the next drawing on Wednesday.
