
Kathleen (Kathy) Ann (Fahy) Bohr met our heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the age of 77, surrounded by her loved ones. Kathy and Dave married in 1984 and shared 37 years of marriage before Dave’s passing in 2021.
Kathy was born on January 28, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Vincent and Rosemary Fahy. She graduated from Center Grove High School, Greenwood, IN, in 1966. Kathy completed her bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Kentucky Wesleyan College (KWC). Her passion for social work led her to a successful and impactful career where she retired from the Cabinet of Health and Family Services in Paintsville, KY. She devoted herself to improving the lives of others.
Kathy’s contagious laugh and signature dimples brought joy to every room she entered. Her presence was a source of light and laughter, leaving lasting memories with all who knew her. Kathy will be deeply missed by her coworkers, family, and friends, whose lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and loyal spirit.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Rosemary Fahy; her husband, David Bohr; her siblings Larry Fahy, Erin (Fahy) Knight, Tim Fahy, Steve Fahy, and Janet (Fahy) Jameson.
Kathy is survived by her children, Nancy (Charlie) Catt, Jeff (ChristiAnne) Bohr, Sheila (Allen) Richardson, Tara (David Bowman) Pickerel, Alexis Bohr, Joshua Bohr, Michelle (Nick) Neuhart, Justin Bohr and Gabriel Bohr; 20 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, and beloved cousin and lifelong best friend Karen Schweinberg.
Family was everything to Kathy, she loved them fiercely and unconditionally.
A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville, KY, with burial following at St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with prayers at 6:30, at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville.
