Alice Faye “Teener” Hayse, 71, of Horse Branch, Kentucky passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on September 9, 1953, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Nelson B. and Laura Ellen Filback Evans. Teener was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Wavy “Duck” Hayse; brothers, Butch Evans and Donald Evans; sisters, Mary Jo Evans and Carolyn Sue Evans and nephew, William Evans.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sister, Sheila Jones of Horse Branch; brother, Bruce Evans of Beaver Dam; nieces and nephews, April (Andrew), John (Tristen), David (Sandy), Rosza (Timmy), Thomas (Autumn), Logan, Bailey (Levi), Brylie, Jacey, Hunter, Addison, Leah, Dakoda, Angel, Delmer, Jason, Tammy and Teresa as well as several great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, August 7, 2025, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Glendon Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Horse Branch Cemetery. Friends may visit with Teener’s family from 4-8 PM Wednesday and 9 AM until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
