Rita Lynne Decker Roach, 68, of Cloverport, KY, born May 26, 1957, in Hardinsburg, KY, died on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY.

She and her husband, Greg, built life together as they raised five children and worked side by side on their family farm for many years. Her love of home and family was reflected in everything she did. She had a true talent for sewing, arts and crafts, and decorating, always bringing creativity and warmth into her surroundings. She also loved working alongside Greg at the St. Romuald fish fries. She loved her professional life as well; she worked for many years with Brite & Butler Attorneys in Hardinsburg, KY. Her life was a beautiful blend of hard work, creativity, and quiet generosity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orin and Mary Ruth Stevenson Decker; in-laws John and Eva Henning Roach; two brothers, Terry and Mike Decker, and one brother-in-law, Steve Shrewsberry.

She is survived by her loving husband, Greg Roach, whom she married on June 28, 1975. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. 4 daughters, Mitzi (Harry) Mattingly, Shannon (Jamie) Barr, Sarah Beth (Lee) Greathouse, Kelleye (Michael) Kennedy; and one son, John (Whitney) Roach

4 Brothers: Randall (Mary Tom) Decker, Roger (Gail) Decker, Jeff (Terri) Decker and Mark (Mitzie) Decker

2 Sisters: Barbara Shrewsberry and Linda (Carey) Dossey

Grandchildren are Katie (Jared) Dubree, Julia and Peter Mattingly, Amelia, Evan, Eric and Benjamin Barr, Anna and Ava Macy, Hunter and Sophia Greathouse, Lydia, Sam, Leah and Joseph Kennedy, and John Isaac Roach.

Pallbearers: Evan Barr, Eric Barr, Benjamin Barr, Hunter Greathouse, Sam Kennedy and John Roach

Honorary Pallbearers: Phillip Popham, Robbie Camp, David Smith, Matthew Arnold, Chad Ledford and Mark Roach

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday from St. Romuald Catholic Church

Visitation will be at St. Romuald Church on Wednesday from 8:30 – 12:00

Rosary services will be held at 11:30 AM prior to funeral mass

Burial will be in St. Romuald Cemetery

Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Romuald School
