Stephen Clarence Hoefler, age 75 of Elizabethtown, KY passed away August 12, 2025, at Bluegrass Assisted Living. He was born in Louisville, KY on November 2, 1949, son of the late Alberta “Sis” and Paul J. “Bud” Hoefler. Stephen was a 1967 graduate of St. Romuald High School and a retired Civil Engineer with the Department of Transportation. He served with the Army National Guard for many years. He was a hard worker who took pride in his work, enjoyed good food and good company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers P. J. and Gary Hoefler.
Stephen is survived by his sister Susan Hendricks of Cloverport, KY and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Private graveside memorial services will be held at a later date at St. Romuald Cemetery.
