A Hollywood stuntman/actor known in part for briefly portraying two of horror cinema’s most iconic villains, Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees, will be the special guest at a “Kickoff to Halloween” event on Saturday.

Douglas Tait, one of only two actors to have donned the masks of both slasher icons, will appear at the free event hosted by Ghostly Productions.

“We wanted to do something big for the community, and having a legendary horror actor like Douglas Tait here makes it a truly special kickoff,” said Payton Ford, owner of Ghostly Productions.

Beyond the world of horror, Tait’s extensive resume includes roles as the Jack Link’s Sasquatch, IG-12 in “The Mandalorian,” and a part in the upcoming “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” film.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Tait, who will be signing autographs and posing for photos. For a unique experience, Tait will also be suiting up as both Michael Myers and Jason for full costume photo opportunities.

In addition to a variety of vendors and food trucks, Ford said he is excited to announce that a local special effects artist who worked on the set of “Halloween Kills” will be bringing a collection of screen-used props and prosthetics for a special exhibit.

Attendees can browse the vendor area and view the props for free. The only tickets required are for autographs and photo opportunities with Tait.

The event, which is open to the public at no cost, will also feature local vendors and food trucks set up on St. Ann Street outside the Ghostly Productions storefront.
