Spirit Halloween — the national retailer known for its costumes, decorations, and animatronics — is returning to Owensboro this fall.
The store will open in the former Joann Fabrics building at 5241 Frederica Street, Suite 3. A company spokesperson could not confirm an opening date but said customers can check the Spirit website for the most up-to-date information. Store hours typically expand as Halloween approaches.
Spirit Halloween operates more than 1,500 seasonal locations nationwide, along with a year-round online store. Most of its costumes are designed in-house and span all ages, from infants to adults.
The company also runs Spirit of Children, a program that supports Child Life Departments in more than 150 hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. Since its launch, the program has raised over $127 million, with funds staying in local communities to benefit pediatric hospital partners.
