Lady Panthers finish 1st and 3rd at Local School Match

Competing against the local schools and Ohio County in the local weekly match, Daviess County shot 154 to emerge victorious. Playing nine holes, Claire Reynolds shot 34 to win the individual, while Baylie Billingsley finished second in the individual after shooting 38. Alexa Salamah shot 39 and finished fourth in the individual and Briley Billingsley shot 43 to round out the team’s top four scores.

The Lady Panthers had a second team in attendance, which finished fourth. Kennedi Minton led the way, shooting 40, while Ayla Roberts (42), Allison Wiggins (49), and Addelyn Yager (49) rounded out the team’s scores.

“It was a great afternoon with some great scores from our Panther squad,” Daviess County Head Coach Jonas Billingsley said. “Claire’s two under 34 led the way today. We followed up with some great scores from Baylie 38 (2nd), Alexa 39 (T-3rd), Kennedi 40 (5th), Ayla 42 (T-6th), Briley 43 (9th).”

The Lady Aces finished second, shooting 179, with Addie-Belle Rutman (42), Hannah Robbins (44), Emma Lanham (46), and Ava Settles (47) leading the way. Ohio County finished third, and Owensboro placed fifth and sixth. Ryann Kasey (45), Hampton Gaddis (57), Olive Harrison (59), Ellison Storm (61), Avery Martin (62), Macy Critchelow (62), Kinsley Hayden (70), and Haley Edge (77) rounded out the Lady Devils’ scores.

Trinity (Whitesville) was represented by Rylee Hayden, who shot 54, and Apollo’s lone athlete, Caitlyn Cecil, shot 57.
