Judy Stefanopoulos, 78, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on August 26, 2025. She was born on November 23, 1946, to the late Harlan and Ruby (Wedding) Westerfield.
Judy was a natural nurturer, devoted wholeheartedly to her family and always putting the needs of others before her own. A faithful member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, she lived her life guided by compassion and generosity, never hesitating to provide support to anyone in need. Judy’s creative spirit shone through in her work as an artist and entrepreneur, while her adventurous heart led her to explore the world and embrace new experiences. She will be remembered for her boundless love, her selflessness, and the remarkable life she lived.
Those left to cherish Judy’s memory include her children, Nick (Stacey) Stefanopoulos, Maria (Bryan) Jaworski, and Christa (Craig Morris) Stefanopoulos; her grandchildren, Jonathan and Stella Stefanopoulos; her sister, Wilma Howard, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Elias Stefanopoulos; her brothers, Kenneth, Elwood, and Bobby Westerfield; her stepmother, Bessie Westerfield, and her stepsister, Jean McCarty.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, with Father Ray Clark presiding. Friends and family are invited to visitation, at the church, on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A graveside committal service will take place, at Saint Mary of the Woods Cemetery, following services.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations made payable to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Kentucky at 3419 Wathen’s Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301. Envelopes will be available at the church.
