Barbara Ann Coppage Ward, age 77 of Georgetown, KY passed away October 9, 2025, at Georgetown Community Hospital. She was born and grew up on the family farm in Falls of Rough, KY, daughter of the late Guy and Grace Boling Coppage. Barbara loved her family fiercely, always reaching out, even daily, to check on them and inform them what and how she was doing. She didn’t meet a stranger as she would introduce herself and then ask for your name. Talking and kindness were some of her gifts. If she ever visited you, she would leave with small tokens of love.
She began work at a young age in Hardinsburg at The Galante Studio, where she worked until moving to Georgetown to be with her son and family. If you asked her, she loved to work, very rarely sitting idle. After her move, she worked for Toyota Tsusho, Arvin Meritor, Yokohama and Sam’s Club before retiring in 2020. She loved collecting Barbie dolls and tea towels. Barbara also loved her trips to Gatlinburg with her husband, and her grandchildren meant the world to her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Mary Beth Ford and stepson Alexander Matthew Ward.
Barbara is survived by her husband Daryl Ward of Georgetown, KY
