The Daniel Pitino Shelter is hosting “Stand Up for Families” on November 21, inviting the community to an evening of clean comedy, testimonies, and support for families facing homelessness.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Grand Stable Venue (7735 KY 144) in Philpot and will feature national comedian Gilbert Esquivel, along with local performers Jeff Jones, Forest Clark, and Jennifer Richardson.

Organizers say the goal is to blend humor with heart, offering guests a night of laughter while highlighting the shelter’s mission. Between performances, attendees will hear stories from families served by the shelter and take part in voting for a Fan Favorite Comedian Award. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served, and a cash bar will be available.

Individual tickets are available for $100 with bleacher seating, and tables of six are offered for groups for $500. Sponsorship opportunities are also available at multiple levels, with benefits such as reserved seating, event recognition, and logo placement on promotional materials.

Those unable to attend may still sponsor the event and will be recognized for their support. Organizers encourage early reservations, noting that seating and sponsorships are limited.
