Melvin Dennis Crowe, 78, of Owensboro, passed away on October 17, 2025. He was born on July 7, 1947, to the late Melvin and Dorothy Crowe.
Melvin worked for 20 years as a homicide detective for the Owensboro Police Department and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Along with his parents, Melvin is preceded in death by one brother, Charles.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, of 60 years, Lana Sue Crowe, his children, Michael Dennis Crowe and Laura Camilla Ross; grandchildren, Dakota Crowe, Allison Crowe, and Cecilia Nunley; great grandchildren, Jude Ross, Briley Shaw, Liliana Crowe, James Crowe, and Lucas; and three siblings.
Private family services will take place at a later date.
