Robert A. Brown, 61, of Owensboro passed away on October 26, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Morristown, TN on February 1, 1964, to the late George Berle and Oleita Virginia (Walker) Brown.
Rob was a proud truck driver who spent countless miles on the open road, always ready with a smile and a story to share. He never met a stranger and could make anyone feel like a lifelong friend within minutes. When he wasn’t behind the wheel, he loved firing up the grill for a good BBQ and bringing people together over great food and laughter. Above all, Rob loved his kids and grandkids deeply and was so proud of the family he built and the memories they shared.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew, Bryan Levengood.
Surviving include his children, Carissa (Josh) Thrasher and Christopher (Cassie) Brown; grandchildren, Kaylee, Madison, Annabella, Serenity, Maveryck, and Bristol Brown, Emory, Liam, and Xander Sexton; and Everleigh Thrasher; siblings, Martin (Kim) Brown, Cindy (Ken) Levengood; his stepmother Barbara Reeves Brown and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at noon, Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Friends and family are invited to visitation on Friday, October 31, from noon to 4:00pm at the funeral home, and again from 10:00am until the time of service on Saturday.
