Ben Hale Coke, 89, of Owensboro died Thursday, October 30, 2025 at his home. Ben was born on April 22, 1936 in the Livia Community of Daviess County to the late Baxter Jean Coke, Sr. and Virginia Underwood Coke.
He was the Valedictorian of his graduating class at Utica High School and also graduated from the University of Kentucky. Ben was the author of seven books and retired from the Defense Department where he worked as a computer programmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jean Coke and James Coke.
Survivors include his nephews, Greg Coke and Jeff Coke; and his nieces, Lisa Yeiser and Ruth Monroe.
Ben’s wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
