DRAKESBORO—Timothy Ray Groves Sr., 63, died on November 9, 2025 at Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. He was born in Greenville, KY on April 18, 1962, the son of the late Billy Ray Groves and Edith Mae Cobb Groves. He was a truck driver for Clay’s Trucking, and he liked to hunt and fish.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY with Rev. Tom Stovall officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Depoy.
He is survived by three children, Tavia (John) Moseley of Beaver Dam, KY, Maegan (Tristan) Hess of Russellville, KY, T. J. Groves, Jr. of Greenville, KY; two grandchildren, Faith-Ann Moseley and Layla Sue Groves; two brothers, Tommy (Ingrid) Groves of White Plains, KY, Ray (Carol) Groves of White Plains, KY; one sister, Jean (Dalphie) Stone of Indiana.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 14 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home.
