An unexpected reunion took place Sunday morning, November 9, 2025, when Sandra Brown Tucker joined her mom, Sally, her dad, Nuel (Frog), her sister, Tammy, and her brother, Buster (Roy Lee) Brown, among her family’s fragrant roses of heaven. Though her sudden departure leaves her family and friends to mourn her passing, heaven gained yet another child of Jesus Christ whom she loved and served faithfully.
Born September 23, 1962, Sandy (as she was known to her family and friends) was first and foremost a dedicated mom and wife. Her husband of twenty-six years, Stephen Moore Tucker, and her beloved children, Caitlyn and Caleb (Lauren) Tucker, will forever cherish the memories of vacationing at the beach, working in the family greenhouse and her living example of service to others.
Sandy graduated from Daviess County High School, attended Kentucky Wesleyan College, and for the past eight years was catering manager for Chick-Fil-A. Her love of serving others was exemplified in her numerous mission trips she took through Bellevue Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. Sandy missioned in Haiti, Bolivia, and Puerto Rico and had plans to join a team to Guatemala in the coming year.
If mission trips were her passion, shopping was a close second and if there are stores in Heaven, Sandy will, probably, be looking for the latest bargains. But what is certain is that not only was Sandy greeted into eternity hearing the longed-for voices of her family, but she also heard her Savior’s declaration, “Well done good and faithful servant” which will, for all who know and love her, echo as a testimony to her life.
Sandy was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Barbara Tucker.
She is survived by her husband and children, along with her father-in-law, Norman Tucker; sister, Donna (Paul) Cunningham; nephews, Drew (Kaitlyn) Cunningham and Luke (Ally) Cunningham; nieces, Taylor and Hadley Brown; and great-nieces, Claire and Libby Cunningham.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation is from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
