Old Navy is planning to open its first Owensboro store on Wednesday, with a grand opening celebration set for 10 a.m. Saturday, according to a company spokesperson.
Last month, the spokesperson told Owensboro Times via email that “the store is planned to open for business on Wednesday, 11/12.” The spokesperson confirmed in an email on Tuesday that Old Navy is “still planning to open for business tomorrow (exact time TBD),” followed by the grand opening event on Saturday.
In a media advisory, Old Navy said it’s “excited to open our newest location” in Owensboro. Located at 2460 Calumet Trace, the store offers more than 10,000 square feet of retail space.
The advisory emphasized the company’s focus on affordable, family-oriented fashion. The retailer, part of Gap Inc., said it values “inclusivity, opportunities for youth, and a future that’s sustainable for our customers, employees, and communities.”
The advisory also highlighted Old Navy’s long-running partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Through the This Way ONward program, the company provides mentorship, job training, and entry-level opportunities for teens and young adults.
