The Owensboro Police Department is investigating a firearm discharge that occurred overnight in the 2600 block of West 9th Street, officials say.
According to a case report from OPD, the incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. on November 20.
A release from OPD says that when officers arrived, “they discovered a home with multiple bullet holes in what appeared to be an isolated incident. The home was occupied during the incident; however, no injuries were reported.”
Patrol officers processed the crime scene and collected multiple shell casings, officials said. Criminal Investigations Division detectives responded to conduct further investigation, and the case remains ongoing.
