James H. “Jim” Spencer, 91, of Falls of Rough, KY formerly from Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born October 30, 1934 in Martwick, Kentucky to the late James E. Spencer and Catherine Wilson Spencer. Jim had worked at Southern Indiana Gas and Electric and was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernadine Spencer; wife, Anna Bollinger Spencer; and a grandson, Chad LaForrest, step-son, Carl Haire, Sr.
He is survived by a daughter, Debra Ann LaForrest (Jeffrey); two sons, Robert James Spencer (Corie) and Brian Keith Spencer (Trish); five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Sandy O’Flynn; five step-grandchildren; and several step-great and great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation is from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Private family burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana.
