GREENVILLE – Harold “Dean” Bivins, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 at Greenville Nursing and Rehab following a lengthy illness. Dean was born on May 21, 1941 in Muhlenberg County, the son of the late Virgil Bivins and Mary Alma Reeves Bivins. Dean was a carpenter, was a longtime member and oldest Deacon of Friendship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Anita Gail Bivins.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:00 am from Gary’s Funeral Home by his son, Deacon Scott Bivins with burial to follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 30, 2025 between 5:00 pm and 8:00pm at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, and after 9:00 am until service time on Monday.
