Frederick “Freddie” Carl Limer, 69, of Calhoun, passed away on November 26, 2025, at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation. He was born in Bloomington, Illinois, and was the beloved son of the late Charles and Lillian Limer.
Freddie was a fun-loving, light-hearted soul whose goofiness could brighten even the dullest day. He had a natural talent for making people laugh. There was never a moment too serious for Freddie to slip in a little humor. He loved settling in to watch his favorite Westerns and wrestling matches, and he could often be found fixing things around the house, his skills as a handyman were well known to all who knew him. Above all, Freddie loved his family. He treasured every moment spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His beloved wife, Janet, was his closest companion and favorite person; the two were rarely seen far from each other’s side.
In addition to his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by his dear wife, Janet Limer, and brothers, Elmer and Delmer Limer.
Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Minnie (Leroy) Pierce, Charles (Cindy) Limer, and Tommy (Elaine) Limer; stepchildren, Mary (Jeff) Wilson, Janice (Homer) Barnett, and John “Bubba” (Ginger) Moore; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
