Teressa Diane Mayes, 57, of Greenville passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital in Madisonville. She was born in Greenville on March 6, 1968, the daughter of O P Sweeney and Pauline Lear Sweeney. She was a bookkeeper and had been employed by Pate & Company in Central City. She was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church and she enjoyed knitting and cooking,
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Glendal Sweeney and a sister Rita Yarbrough.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5 at 1:00 PM at Olive Grove General Baptist Church in Greenville, conducted by Bro. Bradley Brown and Bro. Richard Day. Burial will follow in Olive Grove Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Greg Mayes of Greenville, KY; one son, Joshua (Joanna) Lee Mayes of Nortonville, KY; one daughter, Terahyn Myshall Mayes of Greenville, KY; two granddaughters, Jaelyn Mayes and Jasmine Mayes; one brother, Kerry (Eveleen) Sweeney of Clifty, KY; three sisters, Shirley Sweeney of Glasgow, KY, Brenda (Mike) Rolley of Greenville, KY, Donna (Lee) Mefford of Belton, KY.
Visitation will be held after 10:00 Am on Friday, December 5 at Olive Grove General Baptist Church until time of funeral at 1:00 PM.
