Carter Hoagland’s Christmas light show at 2451 Hillbrooke Parkway in Owensboro is now lighting up every night from 4:15-10:15 p.m. The sprawling display features more than just the front lawn — viewers are encouraged to walk around the back for “way more out back.”
Hoagland first attracted attention in 2021 when OT highlighted his extravagant Christmas light decor.
He gained even wider recognition in December 2022, when he was crowned winner of the Light Up the Tri-State contest, a regional competition open to residents of Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois.
Hoagland’s home display includes dancing lights, a giant Christmas tree and tree farm, Santa and reindeer, arches, a mailbox for kids to send letters to Santa, and a walkway through the tree farm. Earlier displays also featured a large “Merry Christmas” sign, illuminated figures, and a makeshift “pond” with lighted fish and rebar-built supports.
“Lights are on every night from 4:15–10:15! Make sure to get out and walk around, there is way more out back,” Hoagland said.
Residents interested in seeing the display should head to 2451 Hillbrooke Parkway.
