Traveling to Cannelton, Hancock County girls’ basketball took care of business 53-9 and handed Lisa Banta her first win as head coach. Ansley House led the way with 13 points and six rebounds, while Carolina Jones added 12 points. Lani Keller was third on the team in scoring with 10 points and tallied four steals, and Madyson Higdon grabbed seven rebounds.
“Tonight was a good opportunity to kick the season off with a win,” Banta said. “We were able to execute some things that we’ve been working on, but we also have a lot of areas to improve on.”
