Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) will hold its commencement Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the RiverPark Center. The College will award 421 certificates, 319 degrees, and 25 diplomas, totaling 765 credentials to 487 graduates during the event.
“Graduation is such a meaningful milestone, and we’re looking forward to celebrating alongside our students and their families,” said Dr. Scott Williams, OCTC president.
Daniel Northenor will deliver the student address. He is completing his Associate in Applied Science in Computer Information Technology – Information Security Track. Since Fall 2023, Northenor has served as a computer and math tutor in OCTC’s Teaching and Learning Center. He is an active campus leader, serving as co-president of Phi Theta Kappa, vice president of Student Government, and chair of the Cyberclub.
The special music will feature OCTC Capital Bluegrass student Julianna Gaynor, who will perform a solo vocal and guitar rendition of “Forever Young” by Bob Dylan.
