Orvil (Billy) Blan, 93, of Hawesville, passed on to his Heavenly Home on January 8, 2026 at the Heartford House. Billy was born on January 29, 1932 in Breckinridge Co., Kentucky to the late Calvin and Zelpha Johnson Blan. Billy was a retired farmer and worked at Harvey Aluminum.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years Shirley Muffett Blan; a daughter Patsy McManaway; three grandchildren Jasmine McManaway (Robert Korressell), Jacob (Amanda) McManaway and Nakaya (Brandon) Bozarth; nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are at 2:00 pm Monday January 12, 2026 at Gibson& Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial in Homestead Hills Cemetery. Billy’s family will greet friends from 10:00 am until service time. Online condolences may be left for Billy’s family at [email protected].
