It was a positive night for the local teams as Daviess County and Trinity (Whitesville) both won.
Daviess County 95, Ohio County 58
Jonthan Moss found his shot early, scoring 30 points on 11-15 shooting as the Panthers beat Ohio County 95-58. He also added eight assists and four rebounds, and DeAaron Watkins recorded a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds. Michael Acton finished with 17 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one steal, and Davyn Randolph hit four threes to go along with his 12 points.
Trinity (Whitesville) 59, Butler County 46
Harrison Barnett scored 16 of his game-high 20 points in the second half to power the Raiders past Butler County 59-46. Ian Roby added 14 points, Cale Boarman scored nine points, and Grant Howard finished with five points.
“I thought we handled adversity well,” Trinity (Whitesville) Head Coach Nathan West said. “We were down at halftime, and the boys responded well. We are trying to instill a mindset of being a second-half team, and we want the energy and effort to go even higher after halftime. I think we brought that mindset tonight.”
