
William F. “Bill” Hagan, 63, of Owensboro, passed away in his home surrounded by his wife and sons on January 25, 2026. He was born July 2, 1962, in Owensboro to the late James N. “Buddy” Hagan, Sr. and Doris Y. Hagan. Bill loved Jesus, his family, his church and his community. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Valley Community Church. Bill enjoyed hunting, classic cars, Nascar, helping people and talking to others about Jesus. Bill work at HON for 27 years. When HON left Owensboro he went to KCTC and earned an associate degree in applied science. After working as an HVAC technician for 3 years, he began working at Aleris. He took early retirement in 2021 to spend more time with his family.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rosa Lynn Robertson and a son, Paul Michael Hagan.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years whom he referred as “my honey” Lisa Allen Hagan, two sons , Mark (Lilly) Hagan of Norfolk, Va. and John Hagan of Owensboro; and three grandchildren Seth T. Hagan, William R. Hagan and Calla G. Hagan of Norfolk, Va.. His is also survived by brothers James (Joy) Hagan of Mt. Washington, David (Vicky) Hagan of Hawesville, a sister Mary Lee of Whitesville, an uncle Mike Edgerly of Louisville and several nephews and a niece.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Haley McGinnis Funeral home & Crematory, with Jamus Edwards officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and will resume on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
