Sarah M. Griggs, 41, of Owensboro, succumbed to her many illnesses that plagued her all her life on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born May 6, 1984 in Owensboro to Billy Ray Griggs Jr. and Keitha Boyer. Sarah loved cooking, baking, and her fur babies. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and was looking forward to being a grandmother, “Gigi”.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Griggs; maternal grandfather, James Keith “Jimmy” Powers; paternal grandfather, Billy Ray Griggs, Sr.; and her stepfather, Scott “Scooter” Boyer.
She is survived by her daughter, Kyleigh Griggs (Dakota); mother, Keitha Boyer; father, Billy Ray Griggs Jr.; granddaughter-to-be, Aliyah Marigny; maternal grandmother, Louise Powers; paternal grandmother, Bonnie Griggs; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
