McLean County beat Trinity (Whitesville) in an important 3rd Region match, while Daviess County and Owensboro Catholic both won.

Daviess County 51, Bethlehem 50

Riley Hayden found her shot early, scoring a team-high 25 points on 9-11 from the field to power the Lady Panthers past Bethlehem 51-50. Kennedy Lane added 19 points, six rebounds, and two steals.

“I was proud of how we fought through adversity throughout the course of the game,” Daviess County Head Coach Natalie Payne said. “We were able to maintain our composure, make the plays, and get big stops when we needed it most.”

McLean County 86, Trinity (Whitesville) 56

Karlee Floyd scored 14 of her game-high 21 points in the first half to power the Lady Cougars past Trinity (Whitesville) 86-56. Ella Larkin scored 19 points, Anna Miller hit four threes to go with her 16 points, and Bentley Wagner finished with 11 points.

For the Lady Raiders Sophie Hatfield led the way with 17 points, Ry’Lynne Meserve finished with 16 points, and Preslee Meserve scored 13 points.

“We gave up far too many points,” Trinity (Whitesville) Head Coach Emily Hernandez said. “We did not play great defense, and they took advantage of our mistakes.”

Owensboro Catholic 64, North Hardin 48

Katie Hagan scored 13 of her game-high 16 points in the second half as the Lady Aces beat North Hardin 64-48. Layla Martin scored 15 points, Claudia Munsey hit four threes to go with her 14 points, and Sophia Newby added 13 points.
