Wingstop is expanding into Owensboro, public documents show.
The national chicken wing chain will open a location at 3750 Frederica Street, Suite 2, in the four-unit building anchored by Rock N’ Roll Sushi on the north end and Dutch Bros Coffee on the south.
Wingstop will be located next to Rock N’ Roll Sushi, with one additional retail space still available in the development.
Public documents reviewed by Owensboro Times on Tuesday confirmed the addition of Wingstop to the site.
Wingstop offers classic and boneless wings, tenders, and chicken sandwiches, with about a dozen flavor options. Sides include fries with a variety of toppings, along with Cajun fried corn and housemade ranch and bleu cheese dips.
Wingstop opened its first location in 1994 and has since grown to operate more than 3,000 restaurants worldwide.
An opening date for the Owensboro location has not yet been announced.
