Henrietta Schaber Wood, 86, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation. She was born on December 6, 1939 in Daviess County.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Byron Glenn Schaber in 1972; second husband, William Ira Wood in 2001; and her mother, R. Mae Taylor.
Survivors include her children, Tony Schaber, Lorie Wathen (Bobby), Theresa Curtis (Tony) and Charles Schaber (Lori Winfree); seven grandchildren, Kristin Cecil Butler (Rob), Sonya Cecil Stephenson (Adam), Slater Curtis (Ali Wiegand), Ross Schaber (Milena), Cole Schaber (Ali), Tony Glenn Schaber and Catilynn Schaber; and six great-grandchildren, Alexis Schaber, Andrew Stephenson, Michael Stephenson, Isabella Schaber, Owen Schaber and Adam Schaber.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, February 23, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow the service in Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
