In response to several difficult events affecting the community in recent days, a pair of prayer gatherings is being held in the coming days.
Walnut Memorial Baptist Church will host a community prayer gathering from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday in the church auditorium. The event is come-and-go, and pastors will be available to pray with attendees who wish. The gathering is also intended to provide quiet space for reflection and prayer. Walnut Memorial Baptist Church is located at 519 West Byers Avenue.
The Daviess-McLean Baptist Association is hosting a community-wide prayer service on Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, located at 4839 Millers Mill Road. There will be worship, prayer, and the Gospel will be proclaimed, organizers said.
