Officers attempted to stop the vehicle in the 2700 block of Frederica Street, however the vehicle fled from officers before wrecking at the intersection of East 25th Street and Breckenridge Street.

The operator of the vehicle, Justin Louden, 30 years old, of Owensboro, was arrested for first degree wanton endangerment, first degree fleeing and evading police, reckless driving, first degree criminal mischief and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (aggravated, third offense). A loaded handgun along with multiple rounds of used ammunition were recovered from the vehicle consistent with the previous firearm discharges.
