At 1:10 a.m. Friday Owensboro Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on Kipling Drive.
Engine 5, Engine 4, Ladder 5, Rescue 1, and 95F(command) responded initially. Engine 1, 94F, 97F, and 99F responded after the fire was confirmed.
Owensboro Police Department reported flames through the roof of the home as OFD was arriving. Firefighters rescued two residents from the home and they are being treated at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
The fire was confined to rooms at the rear of the home and the cause is under investigation. Kentucky State Police and American Medical Response were also on the scene.
