DCSO: Three arrested on child endangerment, drug charges

Three people are facing charges that include child endangerment and trafficking various drugs including meth following a child welfare check Wednesday night in Maceo, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

According to reports, DCSO was dispatched to check the welfare of a 1 ½-year-old child at around 11:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, deputies observed through a window a female smoking drugs while sitting next to two firearms. While making contact and speaking with two suspects, another deputy observed a third suspect through a window attempting to hide evidence while the 1 ½-year-old child was within one foot of the two firearms.

Deputies detained all three suspects and obtained a search warrant. During the execution of the search warrant, three firearms were seized, one of which was stolen.

Meth, LSD, pills, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were also seized.

Social services responded and took emergency custody of the child.

The following suspects were arrested and are facing charges:

Rebecca Hodskins, 27, of Maceo

  • Trafficking in LSD
  • Trafficking in meth
  • Receiving stolen firearm
  • Possession of handgun by convicted felon
  • Wanton endangerment
  • Endangering the welfare of a minor
  • Tampering with physical evidence
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Rachel Webb, 28, of Maceo

  • Wanton endangerment
  • Endangering the welfare of a minor
  • Trafficking in marijuana
  • Possession of a controlled substance – 3rd degree
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Lonnie Sanderson, 28, of Tell City, Ind.

  • Wanton endangerment
  • Endangering the welfare of a minor
  • Possession of handgun by convicted felon
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
