Owensboro city pools, spray parks opening for the summer on Saturday

The City of Owensboro is ready to kick off the summer season, with both Combest Pool and Cravens Pool — along with all three spray parks — set to open this Saturday.

Operated by Owensboro Parks & Recreation, the pools will offer daily swim hours along with additional programming throughout the summer.

Pool Hours:

Combest Pool

  • Monday–Saturday: 12-4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1-5 p.m.

Cravens Pool

  • Monday–Saturday: 12-4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1-5 p.m.
  • Night Swim (Tuesdays & Thursdays): 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • New this year: Paddle & Play Open Swim for one adult and up to three children under age 6, held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-11:30 a.m., beginning June 10 through July 31.

Spray Park Hours:

  • Open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Locations: Smothers Park, Legion Park, and Kendall-Perkins Park
