The Owensboro Convention Center will once again host its annual 4th Fest celebration on July 4, offering family-friendly activities and prime riverfront views for the city’s All-American Fourth of July fireworks show.
The event will feature inflatables, a rock wall, spider climb, axe throwing, a pirate ship, and the Extreme Chaos Obstacle Course inside the Convention Center’s exhibit halls, with free access to those activities from 6-9 p.m. For those wanting early access, ticketed entry will be available from 5-6 p.m. for $10 per person. Some inflatables require a signed waiver.
Food will also be available for purchase, including hamburgers, hot dogs, jumbo Bavarian pretzels, cotton candy, Dippin’ Dots, and more.
The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. While outdoor seating downtown is free on a first-come basis, the Convention Center has ticketed reserved options.
Seating options include:
- Exhibit Hall Terrace Seating — $10 general admission per person
- Kentucky Legend Pier Seating — $12 per person or $140 for a reserved table of 10
- All-American Seating — $35 per person, includes buffet meal (5-8 p.m.) and balcony viewing from the third-floor ballroom
- Red Hot VIP Seating — $500 per reserved table of 10, includes buffet meal (5-8 p.m.), two drink tickets per person (ages 21+), VIP bar access, and balcony viewing
Tickets are available at OwensboroTickets.com and at the Owensboro Convention Center Box Office.
“We’re proud to provide a space where families can relax, have fun, and enjoy one of the most iconic traditions of summer in our community — fireworks over the Ohio River,” said Jeff Esposito, general manager of the Owensboro Convention Center.
