Realtor and entrepreneur Kelsey Jarboe is adding another venture to her growing business portfolio with the official launch of Kelsey & Co Supply, a one-stop shop for discounted appliances, light fixtures, mattresses, and other home products.
Jarboe said she was inspired by her own experience managing rental properties and Airbnbs.
“Every time I sold a house or had to replace something in a rental, I thought, ‘why am I not doing this myself?’ I’ve had three properties damaged in the last couple of months, and every time it meant buying thousands of dollars’ worth of appliances,” Jarboe said. “That adds up fast, and I knew there had to be a better way — not just for me, but for other people, too.”
Kelsey & Co Supply is currently operating via Facebook with a showroom at 224 South Ewing Road in Owensboro. Jarboe confirmed she is exploring locations on the east side of Owensboro.
“We want to make it as easy as possible — people can message the page to reserve items or even pre-order,” she said. “We’re also offering delivery, and we’ll have financing available through Klarna and Affirm.”
Products include everything from washers, dryers, refrigerators, and ranges to light fixtures, toilets, and faucets. Some items are scratch-and-dent or overstock, while others are brand-new in the box.
“These are top brands like LG, Whirlpool, Samsung, Frigidaire, Maytag, Amana, Hisense, Hotpoint, and Kohler,” she said. “We’re able to source through manufacturers when big-box stores like Lowe’s turn over inventory. Some of the lighting I’ve picked up still sells for more than $2,000 on retailer websites, and we can offer it for a fraction of that.”
Jarboe emphasized the business is locally owned and operated, with plans to create jobs and support the local economy.
“I love this community. I’ve tried to leave before, but I always come back,” she said. “I want to be part of something that helps people afford the things they want in their homes without having to pay insane prices.”
The company’s Facebook page, Kelsey & Co Supply, features up-to-date inventory and new arrivals. Trucks are expected weekly, and many products are priced at least 50% below retail.
“Same Kelsey style,” she said. “Way better prices.”
