Reid’s Orchard will transform into a hub of music, food, and community for Orchard Music Fest on September 27. The event will feature five stages spread across the orchard, showcasing 10 different acts.

The Music Fest will run from 2-10 p.m. at the orchard (4818 KY 144), and admission is $20 per carload.

“We’ve always wanted to do something with music out here,” said Brad Reid of Reid’s Orchard. “We’ve looked at building a stage for years, and we thought this would be a great idea to bring people out for great music, a great time, family-friendly fun, food trucks — everything.”

This year’s lineup includes an eclectic mix of performers: Sonia Leigh, Hunter Peebles & The Moonlighters, Andy Carroll & Matt Ruthenberg, Kelly & Sarah, the Andy Brasher Trio, Cam Thompson, Corey & CJ Jones, Happiness Jones, Galactic Foghorn, and Lucy Jagoe & Emmie.

Co-organizer Tamarra Brasher, who helps put on PorchFest OBKY alongside her husband Andy, said the orchard’s natural setting creates an ideal backdrop for live music.

“We’ll have five different stages scattered throughout the orchard, so people can walk around, enjoy the atmosphere, and catch a variety of acts,” she said.

The event will also include food vendors and a beer garden managed by Brasher’s team. Organizers stressed the event remains designed for all ages.

“Even though there is a beer garden, this is going to be a family-friendly event,” Reid said. “We’re always looking to add value to our farm for the community, and this is just one more way to do that.”

The festival has been in the works for more than a year. Last year’s planned debut was canceled due to damage and poor conditions at the orchard following effects from a hurricane. With those setbacks behind them, both families are eager to see the vision come to life.

“Working with the Reids has been great,” Tamarra Brasher said. “They are handling all the logistics — like parking cars and offering up the orchard — while Valerie Reid is working with the food trucks. Andy and I have been focusing on booking the acts, and of course, Brashers’ will be running the beer garden.”

Organizers say the event aims to be more than just an entertainment option; it’s about strengthening community ties.

“This is about people coming together,” Reid said. “It’s about showcasing the talent we have and creating a place where families and friends can enjoy music in a beautiful setting right here in Daviess County.”

Orchard Music Fest is also backed by several local and regional sponsors, which organizers were eager to recognize.

“We just want to thank our sponsors for helping make this possible,” Brasher said. “We couldn’t do it without them.”

Sponsors include Michelob Ultra, Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, 92.5 WBKR, Reid’s Orchard, Markitera Brand Solutions, Kentucky Farm Bureau Chris Hoskins, and Sun Windows and Doors.

“Great music, great food, and a beautiful place — it’s going to be an experience,” Reid said.
