The high-energy spectacle of OVW Wrestling — recently featured in the hit Netflix docuseries “Wrestlers” — is coming to the Owensboro Sportscenter on November 1.
The event will feature wrestling legend Al Snow along with special guests and surprise appearances. Matt Jones, host of Kentucky Sports Radio and part of the OVW ownership group, hinted at even more reasons to attend.
“We’re eager to bring the excitement of OVW to the Big O,” Jones said. “I have some surprises in store, and I’ve heard a rumor that Shannon the Dude will be there in a special bout.”
Tickets start at $12.50 with no added fees. A presale opens August 20 through TheEricGroup.com, with general ticket sales beginning August 21 at BIGOVW.com. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. on November 1, with preshow entertainment at 6 p.m. and the first bell at 7 p.m.
OVW — based in Louisville — has become known for its blend of storytelling and hard-hitting action, reaching hundreds of thousands of fans through live shows, televised events, and social media.
“This is going to be an absolutely electric night at the Owensboro Sportscenter,” said Heath Eric, CEO of The Eric Group, which is presenting the event in partnership with the venue. “We’re proud to partner with the Sportscenter team to bring world-class entertainment like OVW Wrestling to our hometown. This is about more than a wrestling show — it’s about community, excitement, and delivering incredible live experiences at prices everyone can enjoy. Owensboro, get ready!”
Jeff Esposito, General Manager of the Sportscenter, said the partnership helps fulfill their mission of bringing diverse entertainment to the city.
“Our goal is to bring a diverse range of top-tier events to Owensboro, and this allows us to showcase some of the best talent in the business,” he said. “November 1 is going to be an unforgettable night.”
