The Harlem Globetrotters are marking a century of basketball thrills with their “100 Year Tour,” and Owensboro is on the list.
The world-famous team will take the court at the Owensboro Sportscenter on December 6 at 2 p.m. Tickets go on sale September 22 at 10 a.m. through OwensboroTickets.com.
The team will debut new 100-year jerseys as they face their longtime rivals, the Washington Generals. Fans can also expect surprises like the Golden Basketball by Spalding, the pre-game Magic Pass experience, and a free 5th Quarter autograph session with the players.
The Globetrotters’ legacy includes historic milestones such as integrating the NBA with Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, playing alongside legends like Wilt Chamberlain and Meadowlark Lemon, and pioneering opportunities for women in professional basketball. Today’s roster includes elite men and women holding more than 60 Guinness World Records, including 18 set last year alone.
Premium fan experiences will also be available, including court access during warmups, bench seating with the teams, and limited-edition collectibles celebrating the 100-year milestone.
