German American Bank has named Tony Krampe as the Owensboro market president. In the role, he will lead the company’s financial services team serving Daviess and Henderson counties in Kentucky, as well as Spencer and Perry counties in Indiana.
“Tony is an accomplished community banker,” said John Lamb, senior vice president and chief commercial banking officer. “His appointment as market president solidifies an already strong and dedicated team of local professionals serving Owensboro and the surrounding communities. Tony’s talent and leadership experience will continue to strengthen our presence with a focus on client relationships, local decision making, and a strong commitment to community.”
Krampe has more than 30 years of banking and commercial lending experience in the tri-state area. He graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in business and finance, and he has also completed IBA Commercial Lending School and Omega Commercial Credit Training.
He has been active in the community through service on nonprofit, church, chamber, and economic development boards, and has also coached track and pole vaulting at the school and club level.
“I am a big believer in the power of community banking and have always respected German American Bank’s reputation for being involved and showing their support by giving back,” Krampe said. “I’m looking forward to joining the strong group of local leaders in Owensboro, Henderson, Rockport, and Tell City.”
Krampe lives in Owensboro with his wife and son. He also has three grown daughters and two grandchildren.
