Kentucky Wesleyan College has appointed Lindsay Wilson as vice president of external relations, effective October 1.

Wilson, M.S., CFRE, brings nearly 20 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit fundraising. A certified fundraising executive since 2012, she has raised more than $18 million through major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, and grant requests. Wilson said she is eager to begin her work at KWC.

“It is an honor to be part of an institution so deeply committed to excellence and student success,” she said. “I look forward to collaborating with faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the College to expand opportunities and strengthen support for Kentucky Wesleyan’s future.”

Most recently, Wilson was director of development at Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts. She has also held leadership roles with The Jesuits, University of Texas Medical Branch, San Diego Repertory Theater, and The Children’s Shelter in San Antonio.

“We had a tremendous pool of highly qualified applicants, but Lindsay quickly emerged as the campus consensus,” said Dr. James Cousins, president of Kentucky Wesleyan College. “Her broad-based expertise, coupled with her proven leadership and relational strengths, make her exactly what Kentucky Wesleyan needs at this moment.”
