Downtown Owensboro will be filled with food, music, and fall vibes this weekend as Jagoe Homes Bloktoberfest returns starting at noon today.

The annual event is hosted by several downtown businesses. The celebration highlights local craft brews, food, and live music while supporting downtown businesses.

The Pub on Second, Brew Bridge, and Henderson Brewing Co. will each feature their own locally brewed beers. Mellow Mushroom will serve pizza by the slice and ice-cold drinks, while Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville will be firing up bratwursts and all the fixin’s throughout the afternoon.

A variety of local vendors will also be on hand, including Twisted Majestics, Fire & Soul Creations, Mantis Vintage, Hams Heaters, and Kylee’s Kreations.

Live entertainment kicks off with Happiness Jones from 2-4 p.m., followed by The Andy Brasher Trio from 4:30-6:30 p.m., and The Velvet Bombers from 7-9 p.m.

Andy Brasher of Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville said Bloktoberfest has become one of the community’s favorite fall gatherings.

“We love seeing so many people come downtown to enjoy local food, drinks, and music,” Brasher said. “It’s a great way to showcase what Owensboro has to offer and to support the small businesses that make our city special.”

Bill Brown of The Pub on Second said the event is successful each year because of strong local partnerships.

“Events like Bloktoberfest wouldn’t be possible without the support of our city, local sponsors, and our friends in the downtown community,” Brown said. “It’s always a fun day to celebrate together and keep that local momentum going.”

The event is sponsored by Jagoe Homes, Holston Gases, Visit Owensboro, and Downtown Owensboro. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring their friends, enjoy live music, and celebrate fall in the heart of the city.
